clauderules.net ("we", "us", or "our") is a community project that helps developers share and discover Claude AI rules and MCP server configurations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website.
1Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in via GitHub OAuth, we receive and store your GitHub username, display name, profile avatar URL, and email address (if public). We do not store your GitHub password or any authentication tokens beyond what is necessary for your session.
Usage Data
We may collect basic usage data such as pages visited, rules viewed or saved, and features used. This data is used to improve the site and is not linked to any third-party analytics services that track you across the web.
User-Generated Content
Rules you submit, posts you create, and votes you cast are stored in our database and associated with your account. This content may be publicly visible to other users.

3Data Retention & Deletion
Your account data is retained as long as you have an active account on clauderules.net. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at contact@clauderules.net. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
4Cookies & Local Storage
We use session cookies only for authentication purposes (to keep you signed in). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or persistent analytics cookies. Browser local storage may be used to remember your UI preferences (such as active filters or display settings).

Used to power the rule generation feature. Prompts are not stored by us beyond the response.
